The Bar Hack event always spices things up, as the play becomes a bit more fast and loose, the shooting streaks with the make-it-take-it allow for big momentum swings and the trash talk allows includes comebacks that range from clever zingers to epic fails. The shots were wild, the trash talk was....passable, and the slop was, well frequent.
Thank you to Jimmy, Suzie, and their staff for hosting the event (and for allowing us to finish the finals right after close at 1 am), thanks to Tom H, Brad S, Joe M, and anyone else that helped with table maintenance. Thank you to Jim F and Jared W for help running the whole show Thanks to Sam B for joining us after a long hiatus raising young Luca. Thanks to Justin S for making his first appearance at an MN Monthly (with an impressive double victory no less), congrats! Thanks finally to all the players that came out! We love to see new and old faces; the group that came out to participate in the event and leave it all on the table really made for a special event. I hope to see you all (and those that missed it) on the table soon. Announcements: - A reminder that Bill W is hosting DYP's each Saturday night at Jimmy's (excluding the monthly). Last week included a 8 team DYP and a 12 player singles tourney. The events start at 8 pm. Friday night Foos: at Mort's for Pick up games. - We're midway through the Winter League season. All are welcome to come hang out on Tuesdays at both Mort's and Jimmy's for the next 3 weeks. There's pick-up games before and after and we often need subs! - See you on March 2nd for the next monthly!
