Thank you to Jimmy, Suzie and their staff for hosting the event; thanks to Jessie D, Tom H, Chris M, John W, Tristin H, and anyone else that contributed to the event, prepped the tables, and kept the brackets.
A huge thank you to Jim F and Jared W for help running the whole show as Jim learns the fine art of tournament directing while he's on foosball IR (but still tested out some goalie in pick-ups). All the help I get from everyone both (a) allows me to play and compete along with you, (b) makes for a well-run event (that gets three events done before close!) and (c) turns these events into a shared success that many players are contributing to.
Thanks finally to all the players that came out! We love to see new and old faces, and I hope this was the start of a great year of foos in 2019!
Announcements:
- More Saturday Foos! It's not just the Monthly for Saturday foosball at Jimmy's as Bill W will be hosting tourneys at 8 pm weekly each Saturday night; this will presumably replace the Friday events (Morts remains the pick-up capital of Friday nights). Details will be posted soon.
- League teams are being finalized this week! Contact me if you still want to get on a team!
