Co-TD. Jim W insisted on team names, but I'll keep them off the interweb to spare the children (and the adults) of some of the bad jokes. Out-of-towner, Mike V made an impression on the bracket as he scooped up Zach from the swing-man spot. Congrats to Brad and Nate on pulling off the comeback on meat-nut.

Classic DYP Results:
11 Teams

1st: Skip S/Ben T
2nd: Tristin H/Dave P*

William W III/Jim W

Our wrist calluses had the late-night off as we messed around on the table in a snake-free environment. Our habits were hard to break when it came to the serving hole rule change, but in general it resulted in some fun and creative play from both the snake and pull shooters.

*We had something of a final with an asterisk. Dave P made the smart play and chose to sit out the final rather than play at the expense of his wrist. We let Bill play in a quasi-exhibition final so Tristin could still attempt a double-dip. It felt a bit like a Morts Pick-Up final....poor Ben had to block about a dozen razzle-dazzle shots before we finally pulled it out in the third game of the first set.

A big thanks to my Co-TD, Jim Wallis, for all the help...especially when I get the nightmare last-minute work text and had to bail during sign-ups. Thanks to Jimmy's, Suzie, and the rest of their staff for their support, and to all the players for coming down. It was a fun night!

Stay tuned for more events this summer and the next MN Monthly on 8/4.
