Behold, our Co-TD, Zach's choice of follow-up format...
Last Man Standing DYP:
This is a every-fooser-for-themself form of hyper-dyp.
It consists of a series of rounds. In each round all the players are shuffled into doubles teams against one another. A loss of a match impacts each player differently....it results in a loss of a 'life.' When a player runs out of 'lives' they are eliminated from the next round/partner shuffle. This proceeds until there are only two players left, leading to a singles final.
Entry fee and number of 'lives'/elimination number will be contingent on turnout and start time (progress in the bring).
With more than 20 entrants, we will either run:
- one large bracket, single elimination, with a $5 entry.
OR (more likely)
- an early and a late bracket (to minimize bring conflicts), and double elimination (each player hast two 'lives'). $10 entry (with usual beginner reductions).
With less than 20 entrants, we will keep with double elimination. 8 players or fewer and we might have time for triple elim.
The tournament will presumably be run with Kickertool, which is a helpful app for many foosball tourney formats.
